Threadlift

Threadlift is one of the most advanced, safe and effective treatments for anti-aging. It is a minimally invasive technique that lifts sagging skin usually of the face and neck, using Polydioxanone (PDO) threads. PDO threads are strategically positioned in the skin, with a fine needle and left behind. These threads get absorbed in 3 to 4 months and leave behind in their place newly synthesized collagen fibers, which tightens the skin in the direction they had been placed.

Immediate changes are seen after the treatment but final results may take 2 to 3 months to reflect and may last for 1 to 2 years.

This procedure is best suited for people with:

  • Poor jawline definition.
  • Laxity of a neck skin.
  • Shape and contouring of the face.
  • Brow lift.
  • Deep nasolabial folds.
  • Downward angles of the mouth.

Pre-procedure
Any skin irritation and infection should be ruled out prior to the procedure. Drugs like Aspirin and other painkillers need to be avoided for two days before the procedure. Generally, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the target area 45 minutes before the procedure to make it a comfortable experience for the patient.

Post-procedure don'ts
Direct pressure over the area where threads are placed should be avoided. For instance, sleeping on your face or a facial massage.
Excessive chewing, talking and other facial movements should be avoided for 5 days until the threads get an adequate grip.
Avoid weight training and strenuous exercise for 5-6 days.

Post-procedure there might be

The prominence of entry points for 24 hours which fade away. A feeling of skin being stretched for 2 to 3 days may be present. Very rarely localized bruising may occur, which usually resolves in 5 to 7 days.
