Hydrafacial treatment has four steps:
Hydrafacials begin with a quick manual cleansing.
To achieve a deeper exfoliation, a combination of physical exfoliation using the tip and chemical exfoliation using peels is employed. The results are faster and devoid of the adverse effects of traditional peels.
A different tip is used to soften sebum with salicylic acid and suck away blackheads and sebum from open pores. HydraFacial is not effective for milia extraction.
The cleansed, extracted and exfoliated skin is ready to be permeated with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid, which keeps the skin hydrated and plump.
A Hydrafacial should be done by an experienced dermatologist. It is recommended to be carried out monthly once. This treatment has no downtime associated with it, so, it can be administered anytime and is mostly considered for skin rejuvenation before special occasions.
